Team Matches on 100 Boards
Not only is the International Chess Federation celebrating its centenary anniversary in 2024, but so is the Latvian Chess Federation, founded on April 13, 1924.
These magnificent milestones will be celebrated in the best traditions of the Baltic countries with team matches on 100 boards.

1976
This tradition arose in 1976 when the first match between Latvia and Estonia ended in a draw of 50:50.
2005
In 2005, the Lithuanian Chess Federation joined this tradition but only competed against Latvia, never Estonia.
2024
In 2024, the FIDE team including players worldwide is invited to join this tradition, leading to a round-robin tournament among all four teams.

1.
Teams from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia should be composed exclusively of players representing their respective federations.
2.
FIDE team may include players from any federation, including Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia as well.
3.
Teams won't have separate boards for specific player groups like women, juniors, seniors, etc. The criteria for selecting team players are at each federation's discretion.
4.
To apply to be part of the team, please fill out the registration form.
5.
Your application will be reviewed by the team manager, who will determine the team composition.
The Latvian Chess Federation will arrange buses for player transportation. The bus schedule is planned as follows:
